OUR STORY
A True Kiwi Icon
It's summer in the late 1960s. Kids are enjoying happy, worry-free lives at the beach. What better way to cool off than a Frosty Boy Soft Serve cone from the local dairy? It is memories like these that make Frosty Boy so popular, a brand that is truly "often licked, never beaten".
Since first beginning, Frosty Boy has established itself as an icon. Milligans Food Group Ltd purchased the beloved brand in 2007, re-establishing its dominance and continuing the legacy from our home in Oamaru.

The Frosty Boy Journey
1960s The Start
Launched in the South Island as a small independent business, Frosty Boy quickly became an icon in local dairies across NZ.
1980s Rise and Fall
At its peak, this icon could be found everywhere. Frosty Boy then changed hands, leading to a dormant era.
2007 New Owners
Milligans Food Group Ltd purchased Frosty Boy, manufacturing from their Oamaru site to supply the nation.
2017 The Relaunch
Milligans proudly relaunched the Frosty Boy brand, restoring the icon to its former glory with new merchandise and a fresh look.
